New Inland Container Depot

The project involved designing and supervising the construction of a new container handling facility adjacent to the Port of Mombasa, including paved container storage areas, storage sheds and warehouses, an 8-storey office building, access roads, a causeway over Kipevu Creek and all related utility services (power, water, sewerage, and drainage).

• Overall project management on behalf of the asset owner and financiers
• Inventory of all existing facilities
• Coordination of activities of other consultants employed by the contractor
• Reviewing and monitoring overall quality of the design works
• Monitoring design and construction works programmes to ensure timely delivery
• Preparation of comprehensive monthly reports of all design and construction sub-contracts and contract documentation
• Liaison with contractors, local authorities, service providers and the Port Authority to ensure quality and progress of the works
